Annual Car Show

Event Schedule and Times

  • Location: Main Street, South Shore, SD

    Registration: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

    Entry Fees:

    • $25 for the first entry

    • $10 for additional entries

    Car Show Classes:

    • 1939 and older

    • 40's

    • 50's

    • 60's

    • 70's

    • 80's

    • 90's

    • 2000's

    • Open class

    • Motorcycles

  • Located inside the Community Center

    • Classes by age: Youth (12 & under), Teen (13-17), Adult (18 & up)

    • Display only area for nonautomotive models (Armor, Airplane, Gundam, Figures, etc.)

    • Vendor and swap meet space available

    • Host display of builds for viewing

  • Open to the public starting at 11am!

  • Registration: 12:30 PM

    Start Time: 1:00 PM

    Open to kids ages 3-11, free of charge

    1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers qualify for the state tournament at the Corn Palace in Mitchell, SD

  • Located inside the Community Center

    Concessions available from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

  • Test your drag racing reaction time on a full-size NHRA competition practice tree! Enjoy free trial runs until 1:30 PM to familiarize yourself with the game and hone your technique. Then, at 2 PM, enter our bracket-style competition to challenge opponents in best-of-three reaction time contests, with single elimination. The entry fee for the competition is $5, and the winner takes home half of the total collected fees. Don't miss your chance to compete and win!

  • Join us for an afternoon of fun at our Bean Bag Tournament! The action starts at 1 PM. Gather your team and register for just $10 per team.

Special Attractions

  • The Full Gallop Band will be performing live music from the Trav's Outfitter Stage.

  • 605 Inflatables will have new Bouncy Houses for the kids to enjoy.

  • The Old School Flea Market will be open from 7am - 3pm at the Old South Shore School.

This year’s event is in memory of the late Jerry Whitney, longtime resident and avid classic car collector and builder, of South Shore, there will be a commemorative decal available.
